For 2012, three midwest Ultra events have joined forces to establish the Heartland Triple Crown Series.  Riders who post miles in all three events - Calvin's Challenge, the National 24-Hour Challenge, and UltraMidwest - are eligible for the Heartland Triple Crown award ( TBD) .  There will be awards for Overall High Mileage Male and  Female.  Awards are based solely on mileage, regardless of age or machine class.

As of May 27, 40 riders are eligible - based on mileage posted at Calvin's Challenge and registration at the National 34-Hour Challenge.

UMCA Executive Director Doug Hoffman will speak to riders on Friday evening at 7 PM in the TKMS Lobby.  If you are a UMCA member, or interested in the UMCA UltraCup Series, this is a great opportunity to learn and ask questions.  Doug will also be riding in this year's Challenge, Number 288, so please give him a warm welcome.

The founders of the National 24 Hour Challenge, Diane & Skip Obermeyer will be joining us Friday evening, June 15 to help celebrate the N24HC 30th Anniversary.
I'm sure they would love to see lots of old time riders and volunteers (new ones, also)
If you would like to be fed, the Middleville Rotary Club's famous spaghetti dinner with all the fixings will be available  from 5 to 8 pm, for $8.00 at the door.
As a bonus, the "Bows & Buddies" musical group will serenade us.

This year, the free shirt for riders will be a custom wicking shirt from SweatVac.  Extra wicking shirts wiil cost $25.  We will also have a cotton event shirt (different design, not shown) available for $10
